Lydia and Greg's Engagement Shoot at the Cambridge Balloon Festival

When Lydia and Greg booked me for their December wedding at Yaddo Gardens in Saratoga they knew they wanted a low key, relaxed Engagement photo shoot.  The original plan was to meet up at a coffee shop in downtown Troy where they first fell in love and bounce around Troy looking for cool spots.  I loved the idea and thought it sounded great.  A couple of days before their shoot I saw that the Cambridge Balloon Festival was coming up.  I have always wanted to do a photo shoot with hot air balloons, but had yet to get anyone on board.  At the last minute I decided to message Lydia to see if she was interested in switching location, and to my pleasant surprise she was!  It was a scramble from watching the weather to Lydia making last minute wardrobe changes (I told her bright colors, and she originally had creams and neutrals for downtown Troy).  So we get to the Festival, and I am asking everyone and their mother if the balloons are going to be launched... apparently a wind issue was under debate.  So we shot a little... and waited.  Then I dragged them in a most likely tick infested field in the back woods at Cambridge Central School... and we shot some more and waited, and FINALLY after what seemed like forever (I think nearly an hour and a half) the balloons started to be inflated!  I was through the moon excited.... I took SO MANY photos!  And of course afterward we took advantage of Cambridge's small carnival and had some fun with that too.  Enjoy!  I cannot wait to shoo their winter wedding in December!!
